International Flights to resume August 29th – Federal Government

Nigeria’s Aviation Minister, Hadi Sirika, says international flights will resume on August 29, 2020.

Sirika said this in a tweet on Monday.

He tweeted, “Glad to announce the resumption of international flights from the August 29, 2020 beginning with Lagos and Abuja as we did with the domestic flight resumption.

“Protocols and procedures will be announced in due course. We thank you for your patience.”

NewsWireNGR had reported that the Federal Government had given aviation authorities approval to commence the process for the resumption of international flights.

Presidential Task Force National Coordinator, Sani Aliyu made this known during COVID-19 Presidential Task Force briefing on August 6

Aliyu had said that when international flight operations resume, passengers would arrive three hours before flights, to ensure that there is no crowding of the airports; however, according to the aviation minister today, protocols and procedures will be announced later.
