Wikileaks founder Julian Assange believes American President Donald Trump, will be forced out of office if he goes ahead with plans of trade bans against countries linked with North Korea.

Trump, using his preferred medium of communicating important decisions (Twitter), said the United States is considering a trade ban with any country doing business with the East-Asian country.

In a series of terse tweets, the U.S president called North Korea “a rogue nation”, a threat and an embarrassment to China.

Trump said he will be meeting with the White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, Secretary of Defense James Mattis and other military leaders on the matter.

Assange responded to Trump’s announcement with a challenge, assuring that he will be “deposed immediately”.

The U.S trade with China stood at $648.2 billion in 2016 according to Office of the US Trade Representative, with a deficit of $1.14 trillion, and Assange believes Trump’s spontaneity is the reason North Korea is developing and testing nuclear arms as quickly as it is.

China remains Pyongyang‘s largest trade partner with $2.34 billion recorded in trade in 2015.

Kelly spoke with the press shortly after a meeting with Trump, saying “We are not looking to the total annihilation of a country, namely North Korea, but as I said, we have many options to do so”.

Assange has been in an asylum at the Ecuadorian Embassy for five years since the U.S demanded his extradition in May 2012.
