Chairman, Lagos PDP Explains Why Bola Tinubu Was Used And Dumped By The Party

The Chairman of the PDP in Lagos, Moshood Salvador, has alleged that the National Leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was used and dumped in the APC.

Speaking on the crisis rocking the APC with Tinubu asking the party’s national chairman, Chief John Oyegun, to resign, Salvador said that it would be difficult for Tinubu to remove the chairman because the former had lost grip of the party.

Speaking, yesterday, Salvador alleged that Tinubu was deliberately and tactically sent far away from the party without his knowledge.

He said that the current crisis in the party was an opportunity for Tinubu to prove his sagacity as a well-respected politician, adding that the development would affect the chance of the APC in Edo and Ondo elections.

“Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is somebody we believe is so smart and strategic, he is a tactician,” he said.

“But, in APC, he didn’t know that he was used and dumped. They kept him outside the party, not within the party, and I was so surprised to see him staying outside the party and be feeling comfortable. How can you fight inside the party when you are outside? So, he cannot remove Oyegun because he remains outside. What is the meaning of party leader, our national Leader?”

Salvador said that removing Oyegun might be a hard nut to crack for Tinubu because he seemed to have lost grip of party structures in some states.

He said: “As long as Oyegun is still with Buhari, there is nothing he (Tinubu) can do. It is laughable to call for his (Oyegun) resignation.
