Police officers have stopped Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) campaigners from gaining entrance to the presidential villa in Abuja.
The protesters had set out from the Unity Fountain in Abuja around 10:30am, but met a wall of police officers on the road leading to the villa.

One of the mothers of the ChibokGirls addressing the press. I am surprised they are stopping us today. #BBOGNOW pic.twitter.com/4umutl7Edq
— #RIPElvis (@MKabrik) April 14, 2016 This development is reminiscent of the Goodluck Jonathan era when the campaigners were denied access to the villa.
This is the third time that the group will be visiting the villa under President Muhammadu Buhari. The first was in July, when they were well recieved, second in November, when they were initially prevented from seeing the president, but ended up meeting him after insisting.
Journalists were ordered out of that meeting.
