The Honorable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Okechukwu Enelamah will lead Nigeria’s delegation to the 11th edition of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) and Exim Bank of India Conclave on India-Africa Project Partnership holding in New Delhi from 14-15 March 2016.

The Conclave has since its inception in 2005 provided a platform for visiting African governments and businesses to engage with their Indian counterparts, and explore mutually beneficial business and investment opportunities.

This edition of the Conclave will also feature discussions on the implementation of the plan of action outlined in the Delhi Declaration and India-Africa Framework for Strategic Cooperation, both of which were agreed upon during the Third India-Africa Forum Summit, attended by President Mohammadu Buhari in New Delhi in October 2015.

In recent years India has become Nigeria’s leading trade partner, as well as the biggest importer of Nigeria’s crude oil. Trade volumes between the two countries amounted to about $16 billion in 2014-15.

Senior government officials and private sector representatives from more than 35 African countries will be attending the Conclave.
