Irate Youths Hold APC Governor Hostage Over What They Described As “Hardship In The State”

The Niger State Governor, Abubakar Sani Bello was yesterday held hostage by irate youth, chanting uncomplimentary remarks following what they described as the hardship in the state.

Telegraph reports that the incident took place when the governor’s convoy stopped to obey traffic light along the ever-busy Bosso Road near the popular Obasanjo Shopping Centre in the state capital.

The angry youth on sighting the governor’s convoy, immediately rushed at his vehicle making uncomplimentary remarks about his administration, saying: “You are not the change we want,” “You are not the change for us.”

Though the governor initially was said to roll down the side glasses of his metallic black Prado Jeep, exchanging words and chatting with them, the youth, who were more vociferous chided the governor for his administration’s failure to pay civil servants’ salary.
