Gbajabiamila Says Dogara Has Declared War Against Buhari, As APC Reps Continue Infighting Over Committee Slots

A group of federal lawmakers from the House of Representatives elected on the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC, on Monday said that the composition of the head ships of House committees on between the party and the opposition People’s Democratic Party, PDP on equal basis by Speaker Yakubu Dogora was a declaration of war against the presidency and the party.

Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, protested that he was side-lined, in the appointment of the Chairmen and deputies of the Standing Committees of the House. In a protest letter dated October 20,2015 that surfaced on Tuesday written by Gbajabiamila to the Speaker, he warned against the temptation of not consulting principal officers before composition of House leadership.

Rising from a closed door meeting with the members of the National Working Committee, NWC of the party at the national secretariat in Abuja, the lawmakers who operated under the aegis of “APC House Loyal Members”, stated that it was against the democratic principle to share committees equally with the opposition.

Hon. Musa Saraki Adar from Sokoto State addressing newsmen said that Dogara was causing a division among the lawmakers, insisting that he must reverse the order.
