Jonathan Issues Handing Over Notes To President-Elect, As Buhari Arrives Aso Rock For Tour Of The Villa

Nigeria’s President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, has arrived Aso Rock for a tour of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
He was accompaigned by aides and some members of the All Progressive Congress. Buhari was conducted round the seat of power by the outgoing President Goodluck Jonathan.
Also, President Goodluck Jonathan formally presented his hand over notes to the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, ahead of tomorrow’s inauguration.
The presentation was done inside the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, shortly after Jonathan conducted Buhari round the Villa.
Vice President Namadi Sambo also conducted the Vice President-elect, Yemi Osinbajo, round his wing of the villa.
Jonathan presented an executive summary of his hand over notes and a copy of the report of the National Conference to Buhari in the presence of All Progressives Congress, APC, chiefs who accompanied the President-elect to the event.
In his remarks, Jonathan said he did his best for the country.
Buhari, in his remarks commended Jonathan for conceding defeat in the March 28 Presidential election.
He, however, said he would not make a bold statement until after studying the handover notes.
Later in the day, The President –elect is expected to be treated to a the presidential dinner at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa.
The change of leadership baton takes place tomorrow, during the Democracy Day celebration at the Eagle Square.
