Godsday Orubebe Reportedly Dumps PDP For APC

Nigeria’s former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godsday P. Orubebe has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He took to his Twitter page to make the announcement on Tuesday.

“I have concluded plans to join my folks in the APC to champion and sustain the movement for a better Niger Delta in the new administration.”

“Details will be released soon. Thank you all.”

On 31 March 2015, Orubebe, acting as a polling agent for the PDP, made attempts at disrupting the proceedings of the 2015 presidential election collation.

Orubebe alleged that INEC Chairman, Attahiru Jega, had taken side with the opposition political party, APC.

He however subsequently apologized to Nigerians over his conduct by tendering an unreserved apology urging them not to follow in his footsteps and explaining that he regretted his action.
