I Vowed To Change My Name If APC Survives – Doyin Okupe

Senior Special Assistant to President Goodluck Jonathan on Public Affairs, Doyin Okupe says it was true that he vowed to change his name should the All Progressives Congress (APC) survive.

The presidential aide, who wrote this on his Facebook page on Saturday, denied asking anyone to call him a bastard in such a circumstance, reports DailyTrust Newspaper.

But a week after retired General Muhammadu Buhari of the APC defeated Jonathan in the presidential election, Okupe is yet to change his name.

“Firstly, I never said if APC survives, call me a bastard, what I said was that I will change my name. That is the truth. So, the prerogative of changing my name is mine. Bastard is not an alternative.”
