INEC Reshuffles State Commissioners, 6 Weeks To Polls

Nigeria’s Independent National Electoral Commission,INEC, has reshuffled its Resident Electoral Commissioners,REC in the country, six weeks to the 14 February presidential and National Assembly election.

P.M.NEWS reported today that the Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC,in Ogun State,Mr Sam Olumekun has been redeployed to Ekiti State while the commissioner in Ekiti, Alhaji Halilu Hussein Pai has been moved to Kogi State.

Resident Electoral Commissioner in Kwara State, Chief Timothy Ibitoye is now the new man in Ogun State.
Ibitoye hails from Osun in the southwest,Nigeria.

Dr. Adekunle Ogunmola, the Commissioner in Lagos has been redeployed to the State of Osun.

And Ambassador Oluwatoyin Akeju, who was in Osun has been moved to Oyo State.

Mr Segun Agbaje, who temporarily conducted the Osun election, has been moved from Kogi State to Ondo State.

P.M.NEWS also reported that Alhaji Nasir Ayilara, the REC in Oyo state has been told to take over in Niger State.

INEC will soon release the comprehensive redeployment of all its 36 commissioners in Nigeria.
