The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN in the South west has said that the Federal Government is responsible for the bad name and image now been attributed the Association’s President, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor over the use of his private jet in the procurement of arms and ammunition.

In a communique signed by the chairman of CAN south west, Archbishop Magnus Adeyemi Atilade in Osogbo, Osun State, the association said that the National Security Adviser, and Defence Minister should be questioned to explain what they knew about the deal, resulting in the seizure of $9.3milion arms funds by the South African Government.

CAN said the whole issue looked like a set-up because its national president, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor whose jet was hired for the arms purchase is neither a government official, nor had control of the jet when it had been leased for whatever purpose the hirer used it.

It said, “Dasuki and Gwarzo should be questioned and they should provide urgent answers to this national embarrassment to Nigerians
