Despite Injury Concerns, Costa Travels With Blues To Portugal

Sporting Lisbon FC of Portugal hosts English league leaders, Chelsea on Tuesday in a Champions League Group G match. Chelsea flew out to Portugal on Monday after a training session in their Cobhams training ground and in-form striker, Diego Costa whose fitness level has been a source of debate all season trained with his teammates and also flew out with fellow Blues to Portugal.

After Chelsea beat Aston Villa 3-0 on Saturday, Jose Mourinho claimed the striker who has scored eight goals in six premier league matches does ‘almost nothing’ in training sessions as a result of his hamstring injury. Many soccer pundits do not believe Mourinho’s claims as the striker looks even deadlier in front of goal in every game he plays in.

It won’t be much of a surprise if the Brazilian born striker leads the lines for Chelsea when they face Sporting Lisbon on Tuesday as they chase their first victory in this season’s Champions League after a 1-1 draw with Schalke last time.
