Fayemi Begins Tour Of Ekiti State Today As His Tenure Comes To An End

Outgoing Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi will today embark on thank-you-tour of all the 35 council areas in the state to mark the end of his administration, even as the government has scored itself passmark  in the administration of the state in the last four years.

The Fayemi government scored itself high in youth empowerment, social security scheme, urban renewal, improvement in the standard of education and peaceful co-existence of the people of the state. The Governor is also expected to commission about 60 projects in the tour expected to last two weeks.

At a briefing,  weekend, to herald the tour, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr. Yemi Adaramodu, said the present government had surpassed the preceding governments in all the areas earlier highlighted

 “Fayemi gave core subjects  and Rural Allowances to teachers and this had never happened in the history of this state. As part of our efforts to encourage  teachers, we distributed about 18,000 set of computers to them to boost their knowledge of ICT , aside the 30,000 distributed to students. So , Fayemi is not an enemy to our teachers.
