Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole has decried the years of governance of the People’s Democratic Party in the stated, saying that the PDP has nothing to show for its prolonged stay in government.
He said the state hasn’t forgotten the 10 years of misrule and mismanagement under the PDP
Oshiomhole spoke at Uneme-Nekhua, Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of the state, when the member representing Akoko-Edo federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Mr. Peter Akpatason, distributed empowerment items worth over N20 million to members of his constituency.
“Our democracy is about 16 years old. Edo State has been governed by PDP for 10 years and everywhere I went, nobody has shown me any school that was built by PDP.
“I begin to ask, what happened to the money voted for education? The days are gone when you talk of earmark, we believe in eye mark.
The former Labour leader also turned his attention to traditional rulers at the event and urged
“..to continue to play your roles, but you cannot be neutral to progress. You can be neutral to politicians, but definitely not to progress.
“Several years of misrule by PDP must not be allowed to come back again. They must be able to distinguish what works and what does not work. We will continue to redefine governance; we will continue to work.”
