Ribadu’s Guber Ambition: Plot To Sack Adamawa PDP Chairman Uncovered

A fresh plot to remove the Adamawa State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Joel Madaki, has been uncovered by insiders.

Madaki is in trouble following his opposition to plans to mobilize the chairmen of PDP in 21 local governments to escort one of the governorship aspirants, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu to Abuja submit his nomination form.

The submission of the nomination form closes on Monday. The PDP chairman was alleged to have said that he won’t be a party to any move to make the State Executive Committee of the party to take sides.

Madaki and Ex Presidential aide Ahmed Gulak were among the first set of stakeholders reported by Newsdiaryonline to have indeed kicked against reported pressure on Ribadu to defect to PDP .

A source, who spoke in confidence with Newsdiaryonline revealed Sunday night that: “One of the godfathers of Ribadu has offered a chartered aircraft to convey the chairmen of the PDP in the 21 local governments to Abuja.

“The godfather said the President has directed that the state party Executives and all the PDP chairman to accompany Ribadu to the National Secretariat in Abuja.

“He said anyone who follows Ribadu will be compensated with better appointment in 2015. “But the state Executives said there was no such presidential directive sent to them.”

Also responding to a question, the source : ” The forces behind Ribadu’s project have concluded the plot to remove Madaki if he does not cooperate with the anointed aspirant.

“Madaki has fixed a meeting of the State Executive Committee of PDP for Monday but there is pressure on the PDP chairmen in the 21 local governments to boycott the meeting to follow Ribadu” the source said.
