Obanikoro Explains Deployment Of Soldiers In Osun State

Following reports of alleged victimization of Osun residents by armed security operatives, the Minister of state for defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro has come out to clear the motive behind the deployment of the armed security operatives to Osun state. He stated that the soldiers were only deployed to Osun to maintain law and order before, during and after Saturday’s election.

The acting Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba has also warned politicians who have no real business with the Osun election this weekend to stay away from the state during the elections.
