The former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and member of the All Progressives Congress, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, has accused the Presidency of orchestrating the impeachment of the Adamawa State Governor, Murtala Nyako.

He reacted shortly after the news of Nyako’s removal by the Adamawa State House of Assembly filtered in, El-Rufai stated that the development was capable of “endangering the nation.”

Writing on his Facebook page on Tuesday, the former minister, however, alleged that the scheming by the Presidency to deal with the APC was not over.

“DAMAWA ‘IMPEACHMENT”: Nasarawa, Edo, Rivers and Borno are next on the Jonathan roadmap….some points to ponder…..” The former minister said all of the alleged offenses of Governor Nyako only became offenses when he joined the APC.

While predicting the ouster of governors Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State; Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State, Kashim Shetimma of Borno and Umaru Al-Makura of Nasarawa State. He further noted that the Adamawa State deputy Governor was sacrificed because of his Christian faith to get rid of a hated governor.

His post reads, “Five impeachments in 15 years, while three were reversed. President Jonathan wants to effect five impeachments in five months!”

He said President Jonathan needs Malala to advise him that this is neither sensible nor reasonable, and cannot stand.

“We will fight this with every drop of blood, and as I wrote earlier, we will see how this ends. Nigerian has been there before!” statement concluded.
