General Manager of New Democrat newspapers Mallam Yunus Ustaz, has been killed by unknown persons in Kaduna, North-West Nigeria.

Eyewitness accounts revealed that the gunmen stormed the residence of Ustaz Yunus located at Ungwan Dosa around 7:45 p.m.Friday night and killed him in cold blood.

“We suspect a political undertone to his killing because the killers did not take anything from the house. They just stormed the house, killed him and disappeared ,” a member of staff New Democrat said.

But Kaduna has also witnessed terrorist attacks in recent times.There was however no immediate hint whether his killing was linked to the rampaging wave of terror.

Police public Relations officer, SP Aminu Lawal, confirmed the incident, saying that investigation has already commenced into the killing.
