APC Explains How PDP Employed High-Tech Rigging In Ekiti Elections

The South-West caucus of the All Progressives Congress in a communiqué released after the meeting in Ibadan said the People’s Democratic Party, adopted a high-tech rigging that has never been seen in the country to win the elections.

The communiqué reads, “Ekiti State was under the military siege one week before and during the election. This was aptly demonstrated by the restriction of movements of people and the prevention of APC governors from entering the state for the final rally of the party billed for June 19, 2014.

The party Chieftains maintained that the events surrounding the Ekiti election and concluded that the poll was far from being free and fair.

“As a matter of fact, the military, police, civil defence personnel and armaments deployed in Ekiti State should have been deployed in the North-East, which would have marked the end of the Boko Haram insurgency and the return of the abducted Chibok schoolgirls.”

The South-West caucus of the party during the week deliberated on fashioning out ways to move the party forward. The meeting was attended by the National-Vice Chairman of the APC, Pius Akinyelure, and Deputy National Chairman (South), Segun Oni.
