Jonathan Accepts Offer Of Help From US To Rescue Abducted School Girls

President Goodluck Jonathan accepts offer by the US to send a team of experts to help find and reduce the abducted School girls.

The United States offered Tuesday to send a team of experts to Nigeria to help find 200 kidnapped schoolgirls amid a wave of outrage over their abduction.

US Secretary of State John Kerry made the offer in a phone call to Nigeria‘s President Goodluck Jonathan, who “welcomed” it, State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said.

Boko Haram, which means “Western education is forbidden”, has attacked numerous educational institutions in northern Nigeria.

It has also attacked targets in the capital Abuja, with the deadliest attack so far coming on the same day the 200 girls were kidnapped in Chibok. 8 more girls were yesterday kidnapped again by the suspected terrorist who have threatened to sell them.

In that attack, at least 70 people died in a bomb blast in the suburb of Nyanya.
