“Services Of Some Staff No Longer Required” Etisalat Reacts To Sack Of Over 2000 Workers

Earlier today, Newswirengr reported the sack of thousands of personnel working with the Nigerian Telecommunication Company, Etisalat.

A firm representing the telecom operators, issued a statement to clarify why the action was necessary by the management of the company.

Mr Balogun Kunmi stated that the recent organization change was effected as the services of some staff were no longer required.

The statement reads, “Etisalat Nigeria would like to state that there have been recent changes within the organization. Due to these changes, the services of some staff were no longer required.”

“We would like to reaffirm that, as responsible corporate citizens, we remain committed to growing and developing our people in line with our core values.” Kunmi concluded.
