PDP Accuses Electoral Comission Of Manipulating Nasarawa Election Results

The inability of the State Independent Electoral Commission to release results of the local government election held on Saturday, the Peoples Democratic Party in Nasarawa State is crying foul .

The party while briefing reporters in Lafia on Sunday says “results indicate that it won the chairmanship elections in eight local governments, but accused the commission of deliberate attempt to falsify those results.

The state chairman of the party, Yunana Iliya, said that most of the ward collation officers had abandoned their duty posts, making it difficult for the submission of results to the returning officers at the local government.

Spokesperson for the commission, Mariam Ghalle, reacting to the PDP’s allegation, said that the results, as at that time, were being collated, denying knowledge of the disappearance of ward collation officers.
