National Broadcasting Commission Issues Licence For Kogi TV

The Commissioner for Information in Kogi, Alhaji Yabagi Bologi, on Saturday said the National Broadcasting Commission had issued license for the establishment of Kogi State Television.

Bologi said this while speaking with newsmen shortly after undertaking a facility tour of the State-owned weekly newspaper, the Graphic, in Lokoja.

The commissioner said that the license issued by the NBC had a two-year life span within which the television station must be established and be on air.

He stated that the feasibility assessment had been carried out and cost implication of the project obtained from the NBC adding that the state Executive Council had also approved the project.

The commissioner gave the assurance that government would take necessary steps towards full execution of the project.

He noted that the establishment of the station would revolutionise the information sector in the state.
