Following calls by the All Progressives Congress (APC) urging the National Assembly to rise above partisanship and save Nigeria from an imminent collapse by immediately commencing an impeachment process against President Goodluck Jonathan for gross misconduct.
The senate, yesterday, described as rubbish the call by the opposition party, Chairman, Senate Committee on Information, Media and Public Affairs, Enyinnaya Abaribe, told newsmen in Abuja, “the Senate’s direction to this call is that it is utter rubbish deserving no other comment.”
The APC in a statement issued Sunday said the country was drifting dangerously and that Nigerians were divided now more than at any other point in the nation’s history, with the exception of the civil war period.
But the spokesperson of the senate however killed the idea of such statements not willing to speak further on the matter as it relates to the Impeachment of President Jonathan
