Boko Haram Injure 3 In Fresh Attack On Potiskum

Three suspected Boko Haram female suicide bombers attacked Potiskum, In Yobe State on Monday afternoon, leaving three persons injured. Potiskum, one of the largest towns in Yobe state, has been relatively free from the Sect’s oppression in recent months.

Confirming the incident, a security source who pleaded anonymity, the attack, disclosed that attack took place at about 2:00pm.

“The attackers targetted a mosque in Potiskum during the 2:00 clock prayer,” he said. “But they could not succeed as only three people were injured. Normalcy has been restored and people are going about their duty.”

Prior to today’s attack, the town had experienced multiple attacks from suspected insurgents much earlier in 2015. On February 1, six people lost their lives during a suicide attack in the town. Nine others died when a nine-year-old suicide bomber targeted the GSM Market in the town. Two days after that, 15 people were killed at the Tashar Dan-Borno motor park within the town, during another suicide attack.
