Ali Modu Sheriff Under Investigations But Ihejierika Deserves To Be Treated Better – DSS
Ms Marilyn Ogar, the Deputy Director, Public Relations of the DSS, in News Conference on Friday stated that former Borno State Governor Ali Modu Sheriff is under investigations over allegations of his sponsorship of Boko Haram.
Ogar also said that other allegations made by the Australian negotiator, Mr Stephen Davis, over sponsorship of the sect by some individuals were being investigated.
“As for the former governor, he has been invited twice by this service and the service has also invited him again,’’ she said.
On the alleged sponsorship of General Ihejierika, Ogar said “I would want to say here that it is absolutely uncharitable for us as Nigerians to reward somebody who laid his life in pursuing this people – insurgents.
“He, together, the military together with this service succeeded in bringing down activities of insurgents in Kano, Okene and other parts of Nigeria to a halt and pushing them to Sambisa forest.
“The same man, because he is no longer in service, to say that he is the one that is sponsoring, I think it is wicked.
That should not be the way we reward people who laid down their lives to provide a secured environment for us,’’ she said.

That is why we will never progress in this country nigeria, the man who made those allegations is not even a Nigerian, instead of the sss to investigate, Marylin has automatically ruled out the possibility of Ihejirika being a sponsor- that I call sentiment. In this life, not everything is what it seems, a lot of times we look in a different direction from where the main thing is happening. Let’s wake up and face the reality, we are all in this together.
