Adamawa APC Chieftains Never Engaged In Free-for-all At Atiku’s House – Spokesman

There was no free-for-all at the meeting weekend in the Yola house of former Vice President and chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC), Atiku Abubakar contrary to reports in a section of the media.

A section of the media had reported that top chieftains of APC in Adamawa state who were invited to a meeting over the weekend engaged in fisticuff in the home of Atiku Abubakar.

But a source privy to the meeting dismissed the report of a brawl as an overt “dramatisation” bordering on “mischief” of what transpired at that meeting.

According to the source, the meeting that had in attendance top APC chieftains in Adamawa including the party’s Local Government Chairmen and Chief of Staff was heated but never degenerated to physical exchange of blows as erroneously portrayed.

“The meeting was called for the good of the party in Adamawa State by the Turaki. Yes, there were arguments and heated debate, but there was no exchange of blows by the Adamawa APC chairman and the Chief of Staff,” another source at the meeting volunteered. He dismissed the rumours as sheer exaggeration by people obsessed with undue sensationalism.

When contacted, Media Adviser to Atiku Abubakar, Mazi Paul Ibe confirmed that indeed there was a meeting at the Yola home of the former Vice President last weekend.
Ibe, however, dismissed the insinuations of a free-for-all as a fabrication of what truly transpired at the meeting.

  1. It’s good that the facts are now out in the open for all to hear and mischief makers put to shame because lies has a way of becoming the truth if not tackled properly.
In politics people must disagree to agree all in the move to better the lives of the people.

  2. I did find this story that APC members fighting in Atikus house hard to swallow. These are party big wigs who cannot afford to fight in public let alone at Turakis house. Its good to clear the air since mischievous elements trying hard to make it look like APC has internal problems.
