“My Husband, Yinka, Is Responsible For His Actions” – Joe Odumakin Reacts To Alleged Disagreement

Dr. Joe Odumakin, prominent Nigerian female activist, has slammed critics who think her husband, Yinka Odumakin’s decision politically is a problem to their marriage.
Joe Odumakin took to Twitter earlier today where she tweeted, “Even while Yinka was spokesperson 4 #Buhari, I wasn’t with him all that. Same now!But he wasn’t a “politician” to U then, but now. #Curious.Again, my own only role is to ensure fair treatment of “all citizens.
See her tweets in reaction to her Husbands decision not to back General Muhammadu Buhari which many have also accused her of taking sides with the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Even while Yinka was spokesperson 4 #Buhari, I wasn't with him all that.
Same now!
But he wasn't a "politician" to U then, but now.
#Curious

Again, my own only role is to ensure fair treatment of "all citizens".
I'm not interested in what tribe, religion or color gains in power.

Yinka & I are couple. Yet, we are individuals. He's responsible for his individual actions, and I for mine.
Except we when we act together.

I counsel women in marriages & they live "well together".
Couple is abt coping!
Just argue rationally but respect individual last decisions.

When Yinka was speaking for #Buhari, I wasn't in the film with him.
How then shd I hv problem with him bcos he says his conviction changed?

The only good you can do for ur conscience is to "NOTE" dat Yinka's actions are his; mine are mine!
We argue but we don't fight.

Yes, argue. Debate. But don't force. It's important!
Respect ur man/woman.
If persuasion doesn't work now, it's ok.
It will work next time.
— Dr Joe Okei Odumakin (@DrJoeOdumakin) December 31, 2014
Debate!!!
&
Persuade!!!
We have convinced each other in the past. We still do.
It may not work all the time, but it works most times.

Allowing ur partner try out his/her conviction is part of showing him/her what you mean in demonstration.
S/he may be right, by the results!

If you can't live together with different views as couple, you can explain why ethnics & religions have crisis living together as a Nation.
— Dr Joe Okei Odumakin (@DrJoeOdumakin) December 31, 2014
Pls desist from thinking that am opposing or upholding Yinka's choice on politics. Erase also the thought of "benefiting" from any proceed.
— Dr Joe Okei Odumakin (@DrJoeOdumakin) December 31, 2014
Finally, I must state that we have argued, with Yinka, and I'm not sure he's doing it for money.
Neither so, when he spoke for #Buhari.
