by Oluwatosin Fatoyinbo
There was confusion on Friday at the Benin Airport upon the arrival of President Goodluck Jonathan to the state. The President was in Benin to perform the foundation-laying ceremony of a $1bn independent power plant in Uhumwode Local Government Area of Edo State.
The suspected thugs numbering about 30 began to chant Anti-Oshiomole songs as the Governor, Adams Oshiomole was at the Airport toreceive the President.
The thugs were said to have allegedly assaulted some senior officials of the Edo State Government, including the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Julius Ihonvbere, and Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr. Patrick Obahiagbon.
The chants lasted for some minutes before they were dispersed by security agents
