Abia PDP Caucus Vows To Frustrate Senator Chukwumerije’s Election

Having served three times since 2003, Senator Uche Chukwumerije and other National Assembly members from Abia state are in for a tough battle as some groups within their constituencies and the ruling People Democratic Party (PDP) are fighting against the return of Federal Lawmakers who have served more than two terms.

A chieftain of the PDP in Abia state, Hon Ugochukwu Uwaeke told journalists in Umuahia that there was a groundswell of opposition against renewing Chukwumerije’s mandate. He said that instead of planning for a re-election bid, Senator Chukwumerije should begin executing his exit strategy after 2015.
