The Super Eagles of Nigeria will on Saturday clash with Cameroon in the Round of 16 at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’Ivoire.
The three-time champions, who finished second in Group A with 7 points, will face Cameroon, who also finished second in Group C with four points, after defeating Gambia 3-2 in a pulsating game on Tuesday.
Guinea, who needed a draw in their game against defending champion Senegal, lost by 2-0 and dropped to 3rd with 4 points.
The Super Eagles reached the Round of 16 after defeating Guinea Bissau by a lone goal on Monday.
The last time both the Super Eagles and the Indomitable Lions met at the same stage in the 2019 AFCON in Egypt, the Super Eagles won 2-1.
The titanic clash between Nigeria and Cameron is slated for the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan on Saturday by 8 pm (local time).
