Nino B in a post in September 2023 announced him and his wife, Bunmi had gone separate ways after nearly two decades of marriage.

He announced this with a heartbreak picture, which he captioned: “Finally I accept the reality of the End to a Road! A sad reality that gives room & hope for a brighter and more fulfilling future! A reality that is SAD for my loving and adorable children but necessary for a peaceful and loveable future.”

Bolanle Ninalowo and his wife, Bunmi’s divorce

Though their constant display of love and affection towards one another might give the illusion of an all-time rosy love story, that isn’t the reality—and the two never fail to make this known.

The duo, blessed with two lovely children, prior to their recent separation reported by NewsWireNGR on September 1, 2023, had initially suffered separation for two years.

When interviewed in November 2022, Bolanle Ninalowo narrated his marital struggle and how he was able to get his wife back.

He said; “I needed to take time back to see what I had done to her. The years when I was feeling like I was still young and cheating all day, breaking her heart and everything, to the years where I wasn’t there and I was just pursuing my dreams, but I forgot that this was a human being that was taking records and taking experiences of her life as well.

“So, I became a person she didn’t recognize anymore, and I couldn’t even call her to pick up the phone. So, to get that restored, and to achieve that back, I needed to go back and start afresh, detox and clear everything that I have done.

“First, God. I prayed, I cried myself to God. I acknowledged everything I did wrong to God, not to her. I submitted myself and I did what God wanted me to do. If the spirit told me to prostrate and beg at that moment, then that’s what I did.

“There is no generality in marriage; it’s significant and unique to people. My situation is different from your situation. If I have to crawl in the gutter to beg my wife, that’s what I’ll do. If something is valuable to you, you won’t lose it. There were hundreds of people trying to interfere in settling it, but it never worked. The day my God restored my wife and I, nobody was involved. It was just a phone call.”

How Bolanle Ninalowo and Bunmi met

In an interview, Nino B described Bunmi as “my treasure from God. Only God can bless a man with such a jewel. I saw her in a mall 19 years ago, and it’s been never to let go ever since despite our shortcomings. You can say I recognised a blessing at first sight”.

Bunmi and I met when I was a nobody. I was just 24 trying to discover myself and my goals in life. We have been together since I had just a kobo and are now still together as a blessed family.
