1. Jay Z – $1.3 billion

The Brooklyn-born rapper, Jay Z, was crowned hip-hop’s first billionaire in 2019, thanks to a sprawling and diversified empire.

Jay-Z’s assets range from entertainment company Roc Nation to a fine art collection including works by Jean-Michel Basquiat.

He was ranked the 3rd Highest-Paid Entertainers in 2022.

2. Sean Combs – $900 million

Sean Love Combs, also known by his stage names Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, or Diddy, is an American rapper, actor, record producer, and record executive.

Born in New York City, he worked as a talent director at Uptown Records before founding his own record label, Bad Boy Records in 1993.

His net worth is about $900 million.

3. Dr Dre – $780 million

Andre Romell Young, known professionally as Dr. Dre, is an American rapper and record producer.

He is the founder and CEO of Aftermath Entertainment and Beats Electronics, and previously co-founded, co-owned, and was the president of Death Row Records.

Dr Dre estimated net worth is $780 million.

4. Ye – $500 million

Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, was the richest rapper in the world early 2022 prior to his threat against Nike.

The rapper-cum-fashion entrepreneur had challenged Adidas to drop him following a weeks-long barrage of antisemitic remarks made on social media and in national media appearances.

After all, Adidas gets an estimated 4% to 8% of its sales from Yeezy products, according to investment bank Cowen. For Ye, it was an even bigger deal, accounting for $1.5 billion of his net worth.

Things didn’t go for Ye as planned as the company dropped him, hence an instant crash of his net worth from $1.3 billion to about $500 million.

5. Eminem – $230 million

Marshall Bruce Mathers III, known professionally as Eminem, is an American rapper and record producer.

He is credited with popularizing hip-hop in middle America and is critically acclaimed as one of the greatest rappers of all time.

Eminem net worth is estimated to be about $230 million.

6. Pharrell Williams – $250 million

Pharrell Lanscilo Williams is an American record producer, rapper, singer, and songwriter.

Alongside close colleague Chad Hugo, he formed the hip-hop and R&B production duo the Neptunes in the early 1990s, with whom he has produced songs for various recording artists.

His net worth is about $250 million.

7. Drake – $250 million

Aubrey Drake Graham is a Canadian rapper, singer and actor. An influential figure in contemporary popular music, Drake has been credited for popularizing singing and R&B sensibilities in hip hop.
