Biography
Ubi Franklin, real name – Ubi Ekapong Ofem, is a Nigerian music executive, manager, politician, entrepreneur, and the owner of the famous music outfit, Made Men Music Group (Triple MG)
He was born in Cross River on the 2nd of February, 1986. Ubi is 37 years as of 2023
The award-winning music executive is the current Special Adviser to Cross River State Governor Benedict Ayade on Tourism.
Education
Ubi holds a degree in law from Madonna University, Nigeria.
Career
Ubi Franklin started his career as a personal assistant to the popular comedian – Julius Agwu.
After he left Julius Agwu, he worked as an Assistant Production Manager with his brother on Intern Show. While working with his brother, he learned much about the business world. He also worked with the comedian and producer – AY Makun, and other artists, before he started promoting shows and getting paid for gigs.
In 2012, Ubi started his music label, Made Men Music Group (Triple MG). He doubled as the CEO of the music outfit and manager to all the artists signed to the label.
Some artists signed with the label include Iyanya, Tekno Miles, Emma Nyra, DJ Coublon, Selebobo, Chibbz, and Baci.
Iyanya’s hit, “kukere” was released under the label. Other artists signed to the label also released several.
Ubi was named the Music Manager of the Year at the City People Music Awards.
Later, Ubi drifted into politics. Governor Ayade of Cross River State appointed him as Special Adviser on Tourism in 2020
Marriage
Ubi was once married to Nollywood actress Lilian Esoro, and he is blessed with four lovely children.
