Qdot Alagbe, real name – Fakoya Qudus Oluwadamilare, is a celebrated Nigerian native singer and composer known for his work in the musical genres of Hip Hop, Afro-beat, and Pure Afro Performer.
He was born on April 30, 1988, in Lagos State. Qdot is 35 years old as of 2023
The pop singer is a winner of the City People Music Award for Best Indigenous Artist of the Year.
Education
Qdot had his secondary education at United Senior High School before he went further to study General Arts at Yaba College of Technology in Yaba, Lagos.
Career
Qdot began his musical career while still in high school, His music career officially began in 2010 with the release of his first single, “Story of My Life.” He has collaborated with a number of producers, including D’tunes, Antras, Indomix, and Citi Boi. One of the most well-liked native Yoruba musicians has remained Qdot.
Additionally, Qdot has shared the stage and worked on projects with well-known Nigerian performers like Seriki, Olamide, Patoranking, Reminisce, and Jhybo. He gained notoriety in 2013 with the smash tune “Alomo meta,” and in 2014, he delivered a powerful performance. Then he dropped “Ibadan,” a tune with Olamide, which was another smash hit.
Qdot maintained remarkable consistency throughout 2014 thanks to the release of the hit song “Ibeere” (Question) and an HG2-produced music video for it. He released “La La Lu,” a street anthem with Lil Kesh, and the party song “Turn Up” in 2016.
With the release of “Apala New School,” which garnered considerable attention, he carried on releasing well-liked songs in 2017. As a result of his own entertainment company, “Yorubaboi Music,” the man known locally as Qdot Alagbe rose to fame and has since become one of the most well-liked native vocalists. He had a record deal with the Omo Ita Entertainment label until he left when it expired.
After the release of “Gbese,” one of his biggest singles that combines street language and Zanku influences, Qdot rose to prominence in the Nigerian music scene.
