By Balogun Kamilu Lekan

With a vast majority of the world population lacking access to potable water, on the other end, some wealthy ones are ready to spend fortunes just to get a little quantity of it.

Luxury water manufacturers put out single bottles that cost thousands or tens of thousands of dollars, the cleanest, purest, most luxurious water that money can buy.

Below is a list of some of the world’s most expensive bottled water

5. NEVAS Water Magnum – $2,051

The high-priced water comes from springs in Germany’s Rhineland. The artisan bottles, labelled with graffiti, Disney licensing, and more, are the real draw of the NEVAS bundles. Each bottle, including those in their Design Edition collection, is limited to one production run.

It combines contemporary graffiti artwork with Disney characters to put a contemporary take on the premium water bottle concept.

4. The Ten Thousand – $2,700

The water for Bling H2O’s luxury range is sourced from the ancient free-flowing springs of Palomar Mountain in Southern California. It can take up to 125 years for the water to flow and filter up to the spring source.

The naturally alkalized water gives it a fantastic flavour (or an incredible LACK of flavor). The water is transported in stainless steel tanks to Bling’s facilities, where it is bottled. The Ten Thousand is their most expensive bottle, studded with over 10,000 Swarovski crystals and available in various colours.

3. Fillico Babel – $3,677

Fillico has been a proponent of cherishing and caring for the world’s water since 2005 and selling it for thousands of dollars. This bottle from their luxury water line, Babel, offers the pristine waters of Kobe’s Nunobiki Spring to affluent refrigerators throughout the world. The bottles have a monthly limit of 5,000.

The bottles are stained glass with gold and Swarovski crystals inset. Each is in a unique limited-edition pattern, making them even more coveted.

2. Beverly Hills 9OH2O Diamond Edition – $99,000

The bottle epitomises luxury with a cap made of gold and set with 600 white diamonds and 250 black diamonds totalling 14 carats.

When you buy the Diamond Edition bottle with the case and tumblers, you also get a full year’s supply of other Luxury Collection Beverly Hills water bottles worth almost $80,000 in total.

1. Acqua Di Cristallo Tributo a Modigliani Mineral Water – $100,000

The Acqua Di Cristallo Tributo, a Modigliani Mineral Water is the most expensive. The bottle sparkles and is constructed of 5mg of 24-karat gold. Its bottle is designed merely for show, but it really enhances the water by increasing its alkalinity.

It’s by far the most costly water on the market, especially since it’s only a single 750 ml bottle drawn from crystal clear waters in Fiji, France, and Icelandic glaciers.

This means that the water in this bottle is more capable of neutralizing acids and maintaining a constant pH, resulting in a clearer and better taste.
