Wizkid was paid $1 million to headline the world’s largest Hip-Hop festival, Rolling Loud Canada

Wizkid Ayodeji Balogun becomes the first African Artiste to headline the world’s largest Hip-Hop festival, Rolling Loud in Toronto, Canada.
He also became the first African to receive $1 million for a show at the event. Future and Travis Scott (2019) also confirmed they were paid $1 million.
The three-day event, took over Ontario Place on Sept. 9-11, was headlined by mumble-core titan Future, acclaimed British rapper Dave and Nigerian singer and Afro-pop legend Wizkid. Other standout names include Lil Uzi Vert, Migos, Roddy Rich and dozens more.
The GTA is also well-represented in the lineup — fans will be able to check out shows by Nav, Roy Wood$, Haviah Mighty and Belly, plus 6ixBuzz favourites Ramriddlz, and Chromazz.
It was a solid and comprehensive lineup, featuring plenty of international talent — Rema! Skepta! — though one can’t help but notice that it’s a bit of a dude fest.
