Wizkid’s Made in Lagos Album Records New Milestone
Nigerian singer, Ayo Balogun, better known as Wizkid, has kept garnering numbers in the United States since his last album, Made in Lagos.
The hugely successful Wizkid’s last album, Made in Lagos, has reached a new height in the United States, and fans are excited over it.
The album has now sold over 500,000 units in the US, making it the singer’s first-ever body of work to hit the milestone Chart data on Twitter announced the new achievement, and members of the Wizkid FC have been bragging about it.
The album, which houses several hit songs and worldwide acceptance, is still popping as it recorded yet another significant achievement despite being released in 2020.
In a tweet by Chart data, Made in Lagos has sold over 500,000 copies in the US, and that milestone is Wizkid’s first ever. His teeming fans can’t help but celebrate it.
Made in Lagos is the fourth studio album by Nigerian singer Wizkid. It was released on 30 October 2020 by Starboy Entertainment and RCA Records.
The album features guest appearances from Burna Boy, Skepta, H.E.R., Ella Mai, Tay Iwar, Projexx, Tems, Damian Marley, Terri and was executive produced by P2J.
The deluxe edition was released on 27 August 2021. It features additional guest appearances from Buju and Justin Bieber.
In support of the album, Wizkid embarked on the Made in Lagos Tour (2021–2022).
The album received a nomination at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards for Best Global Music Album.
