Williams Uchemba is a Nigerian Nollywood actor who started his career in acting as a child. For a generation of millennials, he was the face on television they could relate with.

Some of his recent movies includes, Sugar Rush (2019), Merry Men 2 (2019) and Story Story: The African Rideshare (2018). He is also popularly known as a movie producer, comedian, entrepreneur, and motivational speaker. 

While he began his career in the early 2000s as a child actor, he has engaged in much more than just acting in Nollywood films but also philanthropy.

Early Life 

He joined Nollywood as a child actor in 2000 and became one of the most popular child actors in the industry after featuring in the Nollywood blockbuster movie titled The Journey of the Dead, where he starred alongside the legendary Olu Jacobs, Ramsey Noah, and Pete Edochie. The movie gave him the platform to feature in other movies. 

Williams Uchemba has been featured in over 90 Nollywood movies to date. Williams Uchemba started acting as a child actor in 1999.

Williams Uchemba  is married to Brunella Oscar, and Brunella, is a UK-based Physician.

Williams and Brunella Chinelo Oscar Nwaolisa had a traditional wedding at the bride’s residence in Anambra. The couple then had a white wedding in Lagos on 21st November 2020. She obtained her Master’s Degree from Hull York Medical School in England, UK. 

How they met 

Brunella first saw Williams on Facebook in 2017 in one of his videos. She was convicted that he would be her husband after watching him preaching the gospel in that clip. Brunella put her medical profession on hold to support her husband’s dreams. She now manages his business.

The movie star made this known via his Instagram page on Thursday, July 20, 2021, while appreciating her and other good wives.

“I want to appreciate my wife and all the wives out there. Being a wife is tasking enough and being the wife of someone who is everywhere is another level of superhuman, and that is who you are. You put your medical profession on hold to help me build my goals and dreams, handling most of my business like I would still amaze me,” he wrote.

Chikamara Isabella Uchemba  – Williams and his wife welcomed a baby girl, Chikamara Isabella Uchemba, in February 2022. The excited first-time father even dedicated a song to his girl and gave his wife a car as a push gift.

William also has a once famous sister called, Sandra Uchemba. 

Williams and Sandra are siblings, and she was also an actress in her childhood days. One of her roles was acting as Genevieve Nnaji’s daughter in a movie called Prophecy.

The actor obtained his First School Leaving Certificate and O’Level certificate from primary and secondary schools in Abia State. 

He then earned his International Relations degree at the University of Nigeria (UNN) in Nsukka, Enugu State.

He established the Williams Uchemba Foundation in 2018. The foundation strives to transform the lives of over 5 million people in 100,000+ communities across Nigeria.

The non-profit organization started with a program aimed at taking 1,000 kids out of the streets and returning them to school. The Williams Uchemba Foundation also strives to ensure that parents have the means to keep their children out of the streets in the future. The foundation also built a house for a widow living in an unfinished building in 2021.
