1. Car engines damaged as FG, marketers recall bad petrol [Vanguard Newspaper]
The supply of petrol, yesterday, worsened in Abuja, Lagos, Oyo and Ogun states because of limited stocks, due mainly to rejection of new supplies from importers of adulterated fuel into the country.
The case was particularly bad in some parts of Lagos, especially the island, where traffic gridlock grounded vehicular movements as a result of long fuel queues.
2. Adulterated petrol: FG may return fuel to suppliers, 100 million litres affected, say marketers [Punch Newspaper]
The Federal Government through its Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority may return to the overseas supplier, the contaminated Premium Motor Spirit, popularly called petrol, which was imported into the country by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited.
Oil marketers estimated that about 100 million litres of contaminated petrol were imported into Nigeria and had been recalled by the Pipelines Product Marketing Company, a subsidiary of the NNPC.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, yesterday, expressed worry about judicial interventions in election matters, concurring with rising calls for interrogation of the role of the judiciary, especially, the Supreme Court, in electoral issues, specifically, whether it has not been exceeding its remits.
Osinbajo spoke at the 53rd Conference of the National Association of Law Teachers, held at Bayero University, Kano (BUK). The conference had the theme, “Law, Democracy and the Electoral Process.”

The House of Representatives has urged the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) to regulate activities of online drug advertisers and sellers in Nigeria.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has postponed the commencement of registration for the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry from Saturday February 19 to March 26, 2022.

6. Sylvester: Falana objects as pathologist identifies errors in first autopsy conducted in Warri [NewsWireNGR]
A pathologist, Dr Sokunle Soyemi, has informed an Ikeja Coroner’s Court that the first autopsy conducted at Warri, Delta, on the late Sylvester Oromoni Jnr., a 12-year-old student of Dowen College, was botched.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Soyemi, who has 17-year experience in the field of pathology, made the claim on Tuesday while testifying for Lagos State Government at an inquest set up to unravel the cause of the student’s death. Read more.
