Kano state governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has said he regrets voting for President Goodluck Jonathan in the last election. He made this statement on Sunday saying the President has disappointed Nigerians
“I am regretting for voting President Goodluck Jonathan in 2011 Presidential Election, as he has done nothing to move the nation forward”,
President Jonathan is billed to visit Kano state today (Tuesday) but that visit is now uncertain following Monday’s bombings in Abuja. Meanwhile, Kwankwaso has said the people of Kano are not welcoming the President as there is no Federal Government project being undertaken in any part of the nation. The Kano state governor said the President has done nothing towards developing Nigeria since he assumed office.
“Only a few people are enjoying in Nigeria at the expense of the generality of the citizenry”
Kwankwaso was speaking at the APC elders meeting at Government house in Kano. He said the President is bent on being re-elected despite the inadequacies of his government.
He also spoke about the alleged 20 billion USD Federal funds which the former CBN governor, Lamido Sanusi had declared missing.
“If someone alleges that N20 million is missing in one of the Kano state Ministries, first of all, I will investigate the matter and if find the allegation is true, I must commend the person for job well done and then take the appropriate action on it,” Kwankwaso statesd.
The Governor stated that the people of Kano will not welcome the President when he visits the state on Tuesday as the President has done nothing for them but rather sack their illustrious son, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi
The governor went on by urging Nigerians to vote in APC in state and Federal governments come 2015 as the party had now become the most powerful in Africa.
