1. Lagos EndSARS report: FG lists loopholes, UN, US, others demand sanctions [Punch Newspaper]
The United States Government as well as several human rights groups, including Amnesty International, on Tuesday called for action on the report of the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry on Restitution for Victims of SARS Related Abuses and other matters, which stated that at least nine persons were killed and 39 others injured at the Lekki toll plaza on October 20, 2020.
However, the Nigerian Army and the Federal Government refused to comment on the report, which was submitted to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Monday. Read more.
2. Looted Funds: Nigeria set to recover $200m stashed abroad — Malami [Vanguard Newspaper]
The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami, SAN, has disclosed that Nigeria would soon make additional recovery of about $200million, being part of public funds that were looted and stashed outside the country.
He said repatriation of the looted fund is subject to the settlement of litigations that the Federal Ministry of Justice is currently attending to.

The row over the payment of $419 milion to Paris Club Loan Refund consultants is yet to abate, following the insistence of governors to resolve the crisis by litigation.
It was gathered that the governors have foreclosed political solution to the matter because the dispute was already at the Court of Appeal.
4. IMF: e-Naira will cut cost of Diaspora remittances [The Nation Newspaper]
The e-Naira introduced by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) as digital currency will reduce the cost of annual diaspora remittances to Nigeria, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has said.
Nigerians in the diaspora remit $24 billion annually. This is between one to five per cent of the amount being sent to constitute remittance fee.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the price of its nomination and expression of interest forms ahead of the primaries for the Ekiti governorship election.
In a timetable/schedule of activities released yesterday by John Akpanudodehe, national secretary APC, the party said the nomination form would cost N20 million, while the expression of interest form would cost N2.5 million per aspirant.

The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Godwin Emefiele, has revealed that the central bank has so far disbursed about N3 trillion to households, small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs), smallholder farmers, pharmaceutical companies as buffer against the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
