Worried over the unabated kidnapping and killings in the country, the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has declared a two-day prayer campaign to seek God’s intervention.
The development was announced by the National President, PFN, Bishop Wale Oke, during a press briefing in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Oke, who was represented by the Project Coordinator, Bishop Oyonude said the special prayer, slated for September 14 and 15, was aimed at ensuring that Nigeria defeats its enemies.
Oke added that Governor Dapo Abiodun, traditional rulers, heads of government across Nigeria, youths and management of tertiary institutions would converge on Abeokuta for the prayer project.
He said “It is the collective vision of the church that there should be massive intervention. Our primary assignment is to save Nigeria; we believe in the powers of prayers and fasting; and so, we are of the strong conviction that with God, all things are possible.
“The PFN, under our National President, Bishop Francis Wale Oke, believes that it is better for us, the church, the good people of Nigeria and God-fearing people of Nigeria to pay the price of peace than pay the price of war. That Nigeria will not go to war and by the mercies and grace of God Nigeria will be saved. That is the whole essence of this programme on September 14 and 15, 2021.”
