Nigerians react as sacked power minister boasts of 2 years ‘giant strides’ achievement

The recently sacked power minister, Engineer Sale Mamman, has boasted that during his tenure in office, he recorded “giant strides” of achievement.

NewsWireNGR had reported that President Muhammadu Buhari for the first time during his tenure sacked ministers.

The two ministers axed in the recent shake-up were the minister of power, Saleh Mamman; and the minister of agriculture and rural development, Sabo Nanono.

Reacting to the development, Mamman in a press statement published on his Facebook page appreciated the President and everyone who worked with him.

“My sincere gratitude…goes out to everyone at the Federal Ministry of Power and its supervising agencies, without your tremendous and selfless efforts, we couldn’t have recorded the giant strides we achieved in the past 2 years”.

However, the description of his achievement as a “giant stride” was greeted with a mixed reaction.

Lyrical Legendd: Oga Engr. Sale Mamman As A Matter Of Fact from my heart, I’ll like to tell you that you loot our generation from your own heart….
You were given an opportunity you employed more than a hundred advisers without meeting up to their demands.
Your own state (Taraba) is still suffering from lack of electricity while you have the power to solve their needs.
So now you want us to be sad because you were sacked???
I’m Happy sir, give others that Opportunity to utilize since you can’t figure out what it takes…

Yunusa Hassan SaboWhat goes around comes around. You had all the opportunity at your disposal to transform Taraba State more importantly Taraba central zone by connecting it to the National grid, but wasted this golden chance. I was so happy when you were appointed a minister of power anticipating better days ahead for our already marginalized central zone. Unknown to me you would only serve your family and of course, build your governorship ambition.
Posterity will surely judge you.

Ibrahim El Hamisu: Engr.Sale Mamman you deserved thanks from all Nigeria over the services yo rendered during your tenured in office Power Sector has improved really.
I wish all the best in your future endeavor

The statement reads in full:
