Tokyo 2020: D’Tigers lose first game against Australia
Nigerian basketball team, D’Tigers have lost their opening game at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 against Australia by a margin of 84-65.
The game was played on Sunday at the Saitama Super Arena, Japan.
The Nigerian team had headed into the competition to avenge an emphatic 108-69 defeat in their last exhibition match in Vegas heading into the Olympics but it was a second consecutive defeat to the Aussies.
Nigeria face Germany on Wednesday for their second match and Italy in their final game.
