Nasir El-Rufai, has revealed that his successor, Uba Sani, and the national security adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, are no longer his friends

A former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has revealed that his successor, Uba Sani, and the national security adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, are no longer his friends.

Mr El-Rufai, who disclosed this during an interview on Arise TV on Monday, accused the duo of conspiring to use the anti-graft agencies to damage his reputation.

He said he had been a target of Mr Ribadu due to his perceived presidential ambitions for 2031.

“This project of destroying Nasir El-Rufai is Nuhu Ribadu’s conception. He is the architect and builder of that project. He is working with Uba Sani to implement it. So far, it has been frustrating for them,” Mr El-Rufai said.

“Uba Sani is not my friend. He is working with Ribadu against me. Somebody wants to destroy my reputation. Why? Nuhu Ribadu wants to be president in 2031. He has to eliminate every northerner that he thinks is on the radar.”
