UTME Score: If Tinubu can do it, why not Mmesoma — Aisha Yesufu

Aisha Yesufu, a human rights activist, and supporter of Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), on Saturday said that Nigeria’s flawed electoral system encouraged students to engage in exam malpractice.
She was reacting to the case of UTME score manipulation by Ejikeme Mmesoma who manipulated her JAMB score from 249 to 362.
Aisha Yesufu in a tweet responding to the take on the matter by former minister of state for labour and employment, Festus Keyamo, said; “If Tinubu can do it, why not they?”
Meanwhile, Keyamo’s post on the matter describes the student “a brilliant girl, judging by her actual score of 249”. He cautioned critics against damaging her with their opinions.
“What she needs is counselling, correction and guidance. She obviously did not know the weight and gravity of what she was doing. As teenagers, most of us made juvenile mistakes that never came to light.
Aisha Yesufu responding to Keyamo’s post said; “Tinubu fraudulently occupying the highest political office in the land through forgery and rigging is what is most unfortunate and has given room for more children to say if Tinubu can do it, why not they?
“Reason Nigerians must focus on the judiciary to do the needful!,” her tweet reads.
