Man docked for allegedly stealing wheelbarrow

A 35-year-old man, Ebanana Lolo, on Tuesday, appeared before an Upper Customary Court in Kafanchan, Kaduna State, for allegedly stealing a wheelbarrow.

Lolo is standing trial on a count charge of theft, contrary to Section 270 of the Kaduna State Penal Code, Law.

The prosecutor, Insp Esther Bishen, told the court that the complainant, Mr Emmanuel Didam, reported the case at the Kafanchan Police Divisional Headquarters, on June 21.

Bishen alleged that the defendant entered the complainant’s house and made away with his wheelbarrow.

The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty.

The Judge, Mr George Gwani, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N50, 000 and a surety in like sum.

He adjourned the case until July 17 for hearing.
