2023: Why we’re supporting Tinubu — Yoruba actors, Jide Kosoko, Ogogo

Yoruba Nollywood actors Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, and Jide Kosoko have stated the reasons they are supporting Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the 2023 presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

A viral video surfaced on Wednesday where popular Yoruba actors and actresses including Ogogo, Jide Kosoko, Yinka Quadri, Adebayo Salami, Faithia Williams, Eniola Ajao, Foluke Daramola, Femi Adebayo and Madam Saje endorsed Tinubu.

The video got mixed reactions from Nigerians.

However, defending his support for Tinubu, Ogogo said that everyone has a choice to make and he has made his.

Sharing the campaign video on his Instagram page, he wrote: “Allah the highest has bestowed the power of choice to everyone. I wholly support Bola Tinubu on his mandate, please choose freely as it’s your right. I have chosen mine.”

On his part, Jide Kosoko claimed that he had witnessed Tinubu as a genuine leader.

His post on Instagram read: “I stand with Tinubu. I have witnessed his achievement as a genuine leader over the years, his support for humanity and the creative industry in particular.”
